He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie Lee Gay, Jr. and Inez Bencil Allen Gay; his wife Patricia Babb Gay; and his sisters, Jeanette Grizzle and Janet Bradshaw.
He is survived by : his daughter Stephanie Ward (Jamie); his brother Ronald Lee Gay; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ward, Tory Ward and Wesley Ward. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
