She was predeceased by: her husband William Leland "Bill" Whitehead, Jr.; her parents, William Dudley Gwaltney, Jr. and Eunice Bell Stephenson Gwaltney; and her brother William Stephenson "Steve" Gwaltney. She is survived by: her children, Linda W. Pittman (Wilmer) and Leonard G. Whitehead (Leslie); her grandchildren, Dudley, Ryan (Amanda), Peyton Pittman, Kelsey and Kristen Whitehead; and her great grandchild Thomas James Pittman.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Courtland United Methodist Church.
