With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Phillip Bass of Concord, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 20, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Genell Foster Bass and James Alvin Bass; and his grandson Randy Brooks, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" Harrell Bass; his sons, Kevin Ragland (Tracy) of Lynchburg and Brian Ragland (Marie) of Birmingham, AL; his brothers, Thomas A. Bass (Linda) and Richard A. Bass (Teresa); his grandchildren, Willow Ragland, Katelyn Ragland and Nicholas Ragland; his great grandchild Rowan Moss; and his nephews, Greg Bass and Justin Bass.
