It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Doss Phelps of Concord, Virginia, born in Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Smith Doss and John Alfred Doss, Jr.; her son Anthony "Tony" David Phelps; and her brother William "Buck" Doss. She is survived by: her husband Alvin David Phelps; her daughter Karen Blankenship (Michael) of Winchester; her grandchildren, Zachary David Wright, Michaela Gayle Blankenship and Miranda Beverly Blankenship; her nieces, Kristie Bushman (John), Laura Garrison (Tim) and Lisa Richards (Robert); and her siblings-in-law, Norma Doss and Wayne Phelps (Nancy).
