She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hamlett, Sr. and Jane Avis Cox Hamlet; her brother Edward Hamlett Jr.; her aunt Mary Tweedy; her uncles, Willie Franklin and Earl Franklin; and her nephew Cartez O. Hamlett.
She is survived by: her sons, Dale Hamlett of Concord, VA. and Sammie E. Hamlet of Chesterfield, VA.; her siblings, Doris Hamlet, Ruby Hamlett of Lynchburg, VA., James Hamlett of Lynchburg, VA and Robert Hamlett of Concord, VA.; and her aunt Irma Jones of Lynchburg, VA..
