She was predeceased by: her husband James Alvin Bass; her parents, Erna Holland and Courtney F. Foster; her grandson Jeffery Paul Bass; and her siblings, Keith Foster, Bob Foster, Sonny Foster, Billy Foster, Tony Foster, Bert Foster, Rebecca "Becky" Ward, Helen Clark, Arline George, Alice Pool and Lois Pool.
She is survived by: her sons, J. Phillip Bass (Connie) of Concord, Thomas "Tommy" Bass (Linda) of Lynchburg and Richard A. Bass (Teresa) of Lynchburg; her sister Jean Braswell of Naruna; her grandsons, Greg Bass (Anna) of Rustburg and Justin Bass of Lynchburg; her stepgrandsons, Brian Ragland (Marie) of Hoover and Kevin Ragland (Tracy) of Lynchburg; her great grandchildren, Joey, Dylan, Payton, Hayley, Nicholas, Katelyn and Willow; and her sisters-in-law, Myrtice Foster of Naruna, Juanita Foster of Naruna and Shirley Bullen of Naruna.
