He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cooper Born (Patty); his children, Patsy Lynn (Paul Borden) of Moneta, Sherry Hall of Concord, Gary "Hoby" Cooper (Dawn) of Concord, Robin Cooper of Bedford, Candi Cooper of Lynchburg and James Cooper (Tonia) of Roanoke; and his brother Donnie Cooper of Moneta.
