He was predeceased by: his parents, Odie Thornton Hargis and Lelia Idernius Warren Hargis. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Hargis; his sons, Tim Hargis, Nathan Hargis and C. T. Hargis, Jr.; his stepdaughter Denise Guthrie (Glenn); his grandchildren, Justin Hargis, Bobbi Jo Moore (Dan), Sam Moore (Amanda), Brandy Knabb (Matt) and Zachary King (Gwen); his great grandchildren, Shawn Moore, Reagan and Tucker Knabb; and his friends, Lloyd and Betsy Ayers.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
