She was predeceased by: her spouse Virgle Alton Moore; her parents, Verna Tweedy and James E. Herndon, Sr.; her grandson Brandon Allen Doss; her son-in-law Glenn Allen Doss; and her siblings, Virginia H. Bondurant, Barbara H. Brooks and J. E. Herndon, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Sue Moore Doss of Concord; her great grandchildren, Elijah Allen "Eli" Doss and Isabella Abree "Izzy" Doss; and her sister-in-law Penny Herndon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
