He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Lee Newton Sr. and Annie Ruth Toler; his sons, Otis Lee Newton III and Daniel K. Newton; and his brothers, James Newton and Richard Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine C. Newton; his son Gary Alan Newton (Yolanda); his grandchildren, Gary Alan Newton Jr. and Olivia N. Harriman (William); his daughter-in-law Courtney C. Newton; and his siblings, Jesse Earl Newton and Margaret Newton Rose. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
