It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Vaughan Downey of Colonial Heights, Virginia, who passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Vaughan and Marjorie Byrd Rich Vaughan; her husband Peter L. Downey Sr.; and her brother Louis Vaughan. She is survived by: her sons, Peter L. Downey Jr. (Shannon Heady) and Christopher Byrd Downey (Christina Downey); her sister Marjorie Pursell; and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Marguerite, Tess and Sailor.
