He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine Hogue; his mother Viola Allen; his stepfather Louis Allen; his father Henry Hogue; his half-brother Henry Hogue; his grandson Jonathan Peters; and his great grandchild Daniel Melton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marcia Peters (Steve), Laura Wade (Ken) and Stephanie Zahringer (Jim); his grandchildren, Angela Callahan (Dave), Jackie Beiter (Jason), Sean Peters (Catherine), Tiffany Sand (Justin), Mary Katherine Pierson (Aaron), Brittany Denny (Gregory), Chad Melton (Chelsea), Jeremy Zahringer (Lindsey), Tyler Wade (Gracie), William Melton and Alexa Zahringer; and his close friend Charlotte Estes.
