He was predeceased by: his parents, Margie Butler and Lenard Carl Vaughan; his former wife Levon Vaughan; and also, Janet Vaughan, Pamela Vaughan, Janet Darlene Hess, Marion Fable, Frances Walmsley, Ellen Benfield, Gordon Vaughan and Bobby Vaughan.
He is survived by: his son Douglas Lee Vaughan, Jr. (Kim); and his grandchildren, Robert Hess, Jason Hess (Tracey), Carl Hess (Casey) and Carlie Vaughan. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834).
