It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Capps Colbert of Colonial Heights, Virginia, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Braxton Colbert, Jr.; and her parents, Charlie Capps and Rosa Capps. She is survived by: her daughter Carla Temple (Derrick); her grandchildren, Danielle Cummins (Joey) and David'Braxton'Bookman (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Kailie, Kenlie Bookman, Logan and Dylan Cummins; her brother Charlie Capps; and her friends, Shelia Crump and Kathy Rice. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and two dear caregivers.
