She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert Shuman and Lavinia Shuman. She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Gwinn; her children, Michael Gwinn (Bonnie), Christopher Gwinn (Kena) and Kathryn Gwinn; and her grandson Bryan Gwinn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
