With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Braxton Craig Baker of Colonial Heights, Virginia, born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Ann Jordan Baker and Braxton Otha Baker; and his siblings, Jean Treihaft (Ray), Joanne Zitta, Jaqueline Hallett (Mike) and Timothy Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Tamara Jarolimek (James), Patricia Massengill (Alan), Andrew Baker (Rose), Paul Baker (Rick) and Genevieve Mellott (Ashton); his siblings, Brenda Nesgoda and John Baker; his grandchildren, Barbara Dorsey, Wesley Massengill, Lori Massengill, Claire Jarolimek, Margaret Mellott, Alice Mellott and Isabelle Mellott; and his great grandchildren, Tamiyah Parham, Timothy Parham, Jr., Tamira Parham and Ta'Mia Parham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund at Calvary Baptist Church, Colonial Heights, VA.
