It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan Hilburn of Colonial Beach, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away at the age of 77, on January 30, 2021. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Kenny Hilburn; her children, Nancy H. Thomas, Karen H. Trivett and Kenny Hilburn, Jr.; her parents, Frank Simmons and Margaret Simmons (Teenie); her siblings, Julie Shelton and Bobby Simmons of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, T. J., Anthony Sears, Michael Trivett, Amanda Henley, Krissy Humphrey, Tyler Thomas and Avery Hilburn. She was also cherished by nine great grandchildren, her "fun" cousins and many extended family and friends.
