He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alfred Swafford and Mary Evelyn Bunch Swafford; and his brother Ronnie Swafford. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Shelton Swafford; his siblings-in-law, Billy and Bonny Shelton; his nephew Marcus Shelton; his nieces, Jennifer Thomas and Debbie Deane; and his friend Peggy Young.
