It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Hester Head of Collinsville, Virginia, born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Dillon Brim and Sarah J. Fulcher Brim; her husband James Robert Head; her daughter Laura "Snooky" Sowers; her siblings, Irene Fulcher, Katherine Mullins, Pauline Lawson, Hazel Harris, Ginny Prillaman, Annie Brim, Harry Lee Brim and Buck Brim; and her grandson Marlin Mabe.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Tilley (Chris), Patricia Foley (Mark) and James Head; her sister Elsie Brim; and her grandchildren, Melissa Conley (Bud), Tammy Pomeroy, Billy-Wayne Sowers (Sherri), Kayla Head and Jacob Foley. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
