He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey and Virginia Thomasson Hodges; and his siblings, Kenneth, Howard, Jack, Dorothy Cardwell, Phoebe Leach and Ruby Helen.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Mason Hodges; his grandchildren, Marcus (Lindsay), Alex (Anna), Brandon, Chris, Nicole, Mason, Kristin and Kolton; his great grandchild Wyatt; his siblings, Glen (Theresa) and Nancy Stowe (Marshall); and his sister-in-law Betty Jean Hodges.
