He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther A. Spencer and Ethel Irene Nelson Spencer; his son Donald Lee "Buzz" Willard; and his siblings, Cecil A. Spencer, Sr., Peggy Ruth Spencer, Virginia S. Hinch and Beatrice S. Cobler.
He is survived by: his children, James P. "Jay" Spencer, Lynne S. Morrison (Wally), Tessa S. Patterson (J. P.) and Teresa W. Terry (David); his sister Joan S. Burgess; his grandchildren, Phillip Spencer, Justin Morrison, Michael Gordon, Ashley Hayzlett of Jordyn Willard, T. J and Cole Willard; and his close friend Rocky. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
