It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hope Hensley Kirk of Collinsville, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Robert Hensley, Sr. and Grace Gregory Hensley; her significant other Fred Kirk; and her siblings, Dorothy Graeser, Emily Weick, Hazel Taylor and Dick Hensley.

She is survived by: her children, Freddie Kirk of Greensboro, Robin Comer of Madison, Julie Gunn (Dale Wisniewski) of Richmond and Lorrie Teegen (Bill) of Martinsville; her grandchildren, Chris Kirk of Bassett, Blair Comer (Travis) of Madison, Lucas Gunn of Portland, Bill Comer (Kelly) of Madison and Amber Morton (Johnathon) of Indian Trail; her great grandchildren, Haylee Kirk of Martinsville, Taylor Alley, Coby Alley of Madison and Teegen Morton of Indian Trail; her sisters, Grace Taylor of Martinsville and Peggy Herring of Chester; her sister-in-law Helen Hensley of Martinsville; her nephew John Taylor of Richmond; and her pet Rosie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
