She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Alexander Carpenter and Mary Ambler Carpenter of St. Marys, WV.; her husband Frank S. "Pete" Hewitt; and her siblings, Hiram A. Carpenter Jr., J. Franklin Carpenter, Walter S. Carpenter, Rebecca C. Runnels and Barbara Ann Carpenter Topper.
She is survived by: her children, Marianne H. Robbins (Dianne Robbins) of Sacramento, CA and Richard Franklin Hewitt (Tara Elizabeth Daigle); her granddaughter Jesse H. King (Jeff King) of Livingston, MT; and her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Griffin and Duncan King. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
