She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis E. Ashburn and Savannah Draughn Ashburn; her husband Elmer Eugene Collins; her son Joseph Scott Collins; and her siblings, Elbert Ashburn and Patricia A. Branch.
She is survived by: her children, Victor T Collins (Catherine), Pamela C. Albanese and Penny C. Cox; her grandchildren, Jon-Michael Albanese, Joseph Lee Collins, Savannah Caldwell Payne Ashley (Edward Lee), Kaitlyn Elizabeth Broyles (Ben), Madison Collins Cox and Hannah Faye Collins; and her great grandchildren, Kaedance Cheyenne Albanese, Gavin Feazell and Gentry Broyles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
They made donations to support programs in the Martinsville school system.
