He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgle Lawson and Carrie Martin Lawson; his wife Nancy Motes Lawson; his children, Jeannie Lawson and David Dwayne Lawson; and his siblings, Alice Joyce, Barbara Guilliams, Betty Davis, Peggy Lawson, Paul Lawson, Dewey Lawson and Claude Lawson.
He is survived by: his daughter Tina Lawson; and his siblings, Joy Gammons and Nash Lawson.
