He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lawson and Edith Salyers Lawson; and his wife Nancy Carol Lawson. He is survived by: his children, Barney Lawson Jr. of Coeburn, VA., Elizabeth Owens (Thomas) of Whitmire, S. C., Karen Collins (Tim) of Newberry, S. C. and Martha Hill (Mike) of Wise, VA.; and his brother Roy Salyers of Coeburn, VA.. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
