With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip John Nixon Sr. of Coeburn, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erskin Nixon and Marjorie Nixon (Osbond); his son Jeremy Nixon; and his niece Elizabeth Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Mary Nixon; his son John Nixon; his stepsons, Wes Needham (Amber Senter), Toby Needham (Candi) and TJ Needham; his siblings, Roy Nixon (Melinda) and Anna Lou Rose (Bobby); his stepgrandchildren, Sydney Barnette (Zachary), Luke Needham, Stephanie Needham and Sofie McAfee; his stepgreat-grandsons, Mason and Brady Barnette; and his pet Thor. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (701 Front St E, Coeburn, VA 24230). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
