She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hale and Cora Hale; and her siblings, Nancy Hale and Michael Hale. She is survived by: her husband Michael Graves; her children, James Compton of Bristol and Megan Compton of Castlewood, Virginia; and her siblings, Timothy Hale of Castlewood, Virginia, Christopher Hale of Castlewood, Virginia, Debbie Marshall (David) of Castlewood, Linda Kern (Pat) of Sumter and Pat Carter (Gary) of Castlewood, Virginia.
A procession was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM. Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sexton Cemetery.
