He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Johnson Collins; his parents, Arlen Collins Sr. and Estella Sexton Collins; his son-in-law John Dearmen; and his brother Joe Collins.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Collins Dearmen (Lance Johnson) of Coeburn; his stepmother Allene Collins; his siblings, Reva Fields, Aline Johnson, Bonnie Little (Keith), Jacqueline Johnson, Henry Collins, Earl Collins and Elmer Collins; his stepbrothers, Donnie Lawson, Mike Lawson and Larry Lawson; his niece Julia Johnson Browning; his nephews, Rodney Collins, Kevin Collins, Scottie Johnson and Larry Johnson; his cousin David Collins (Kim); and his granddaughters, Brittany, Alianna, Aubrey, Addy and Annistyn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sexton Cemetery.
