She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilton Elmo and Marie Majette Broaddus; her daughter Robin Lynn Mitchem; and her brothers, Ronald Elmo Broaddus (Ronnie) and Francis Elmo Broaddus.
She is survived by: her husband James Phillip Mitchem (Jimmy); her children, Amy Elizabeth Mitchem of Cobbs Creek and James Michael Mitchem (Lynnette) of Hallieford; her grandchildren, Brittany Mitchem Robertson (Devante) of Gloucester and Lauren Elizabeth Mitchem; her great grandchild Liam Robertson; her sister Elizabeth Broaddus Rowe (Jimmy) of Gwynn; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Broaddus Smith (Roy) of Hallieford and Selma Mitchem Tremer of Cobbs Creek. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
