He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Jann; his parents, Bob Melpolder and Marge Melpolder; his brother Andy Melpolder; and his sister-in-law Jacqui Melpolder.

He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Melpolder; and his nieces, Maggie Melpolder McGregor, Amy Melpolder, Danielle Wolf and Geneva Viralam.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ted's memory to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, Virginia 23220.
