He was predeceased by: his parents, Berkley Duffer and Sara King Duffer; his wife Juanita Lacks Duffer; and his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Smith, Wade Duffer, Eddie "PeeWee" Duffer and Glenn Duffer.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Nichols (Jimmy), T. L. Duffer (Sandra) and Bucky Duffer (Amy); and his sisters, Shirley Whitt and Joyce Tuck. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
