He is survived by: his wife Goldie Virginia Nieswander Sampson; his son Gary Sampson (Karen); and his stepchildren, Thomas Alan Dove (Karen), Steven Wayne Dove (Melissa) and Richard Eugene Dove. He is also survived by three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
