He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie D. Murray and Bessie Duffey Murray. He is survived by: his children, Debra Simms (Kevin), Linda Guill, Sandy Carol, Kevin Murray (Rebecca) and Aubrey Murray (Wanda); and his sisters, Pauline Wilmoth and Frances Murray. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
