He is survived by: his children, Jade Simpson (Mike) of Haysi and Logan Fletcher (Emily) of Johnson City, Tennessee; and his grandsons, Dalton Simpson, Connor Liam McKnight, Camden Lacy McKnight, Caiden Simpson, Aiden Simpson and Addi Simpson (Teresa Fletcher) of Clinchco. He is also survived by his aunts.
