She was predeceased by: her husband James Earl Vance; her parents, Arthur Counts and Susie Counts; and her siblings, Lyman Counts, Durwood Counts, Wayne Counts, Charlotte Counts, Lorraine Blevins and Paula Gregory.

She is survived by: her children, Chris Vance (Darlene) of Clintwood and Betsy Yates of Rutledge, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Barry Yates and Jessica Robinson (Brandon) of Coeburn; and her great grandchildren, Abby Robinson and Jamie Robinson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
