James Lawrence Sykes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lawrence Sykes of Clintwood, Virginia, who passed away on March 24, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sykes and Elizabeth Rasnick Sykes (Bessie); his siblings, Cecil Sykes, Bob Sykes, Alice Barnett and Thelma Hibbitts; and his son-in-law Trey Keyser.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kiser Sykes; his children, Angela Keyser of Johnson City, TN, Elaine Sturgill (Robin) and Chris Sykes (April); his grandchildren, Jared Sturgill of Wise, VA, Tanner Keyser of Johnson City, TN, Cole Sturgill of Wise, VA, Halle Keyser of Johnson City, TN, Austin Sykes, Madison Sykes, Ed Wiggington and Jibber Ward; and his nephews, Ed Hibbitts, Charlie Hibbits, Paul Sykes, Bob Sykes, Tommy Bright and Mac Collier. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
