He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Boyd and Letha Ann Deel Boyd; his children, Thelma Gay Boyd, Betty Jean Deel and Danny Ray Boyd; his brothers, Johnny, Kilby, Elmer, James and Marcus; his grandmothers, Nicey, Dorothnia and Dolly; and his sons-in-law, William Garrett and Jim Deel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Loretta Garrett of Clintwood, VA, Bernette Deel (Randy) of Clintwood, VA and Alene Deel of Haysi, VA.; his grandchildren, Scott, Jason, Grant, Travis, Shawn, Nathan, Jonathan, Lindsey, Dana and Miranda; and the mother of his children Lorene Boyd of Haysi, VA. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
