He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dotson and Flarnie Smith Dotson; his daughter Vickie Lynn Dotson; and his siblings, Stacy, Everett, Walter, Delmer, Kermit, Glen, Shine, Lorene Dotson, Thelma Pulcini, Margie Knabb and Mary Alice Rasnake.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Dotson; his children, Jeffrey Dotson and Amanda (Kenny Stanford) of Cleveland, Virginia; and his siblings, Berta Barone of Raitan and Richard Dotson (Jo Ellen) of Lorain, Ohio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
