He is survived by: his spouse Inis Fern Counts; his grandchildren, Charlotte Vance of Clintwood, David of Clintwood, Shelly Baker of Clintwood, Pruitt of Clintwood, April Ring and Wayne of Coeburn; his great grandchildren, Samantha Hibbitts, Nathaniel of Coeburn, David Vance, II of Clintwood, Andrew Vance of Stuarts Draft, Virginia of Clintwood, James France of Clintwood, Geni of Clintwood, Cecil Baker of Clintwood and Chloe Ring of Coeburn; his great great grandchildren, Ethan Cole Hibbitts and Carter Benjamin Hibbitts of Coeburn; and his sisters, Rita Vance of Coeburn and Paula Gregory of Wingate. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
