She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Whiting, Sr. and Carrie Caldwell Whiting; and her brother Gene Whiting. She is survived by: her siblings, Frances Bush of Covington, Gwendolyn Carwile of Lynchburg, Garland Whiting (Wanda) of Covington, Frederick Whiting (Margaret) of Clifton Forge and James L. Whiting, Jr. of Lynchburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
