We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2021, at the age of 81, Sylvia Averill (Clifton Forge, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Watson Downey and Mary Frances Curtis Downey; her husband Eugene "Punky" Averill; and her siblings, Mildred Downey, Charles Frances Lee Downey, Robert Watson Downey, Jr. and Wayne Downey.
She is survived by: her children, Tracy Averill of Boones Mill, Lori Noel (David) of Ridgeley, WV, Scotty Averill (Amanda Forbes) and Greg Averill (Tina); her sister Judy Tidwell (Marshall) of Lenoir, NC; her sisters-in-law, Doris Averill of Clifton Forge and Sybil Downey of Clifton Forge; her brother Earl Joseph "Mickey" Downey of Clifton Forge; her grandchildren, Samantha Averill, Daniel Unroe, Challen Averill, Grant Noel, Lorin Noel and Alana Averill; and her close friend Guinness. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
