It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Porter (Clifton Forge, Virginia), who passed away on April 6, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Granville C. Hall, Sr. and Hattie Mae Welch Hall; her husband Donald Simmons Porter, Sr.; her brother Granville C. Hall, Jr.; and her granddaughter Jacqueline Burleson.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Darcus of Clifton Forge, Donna Lee (Jathen) of Monroe, NC, Deanne Jones (Gerald) of Clifton Forge, Denise Purvis (Glenn) of Midlothian and Donald S. Porter, Jr. (Carla) of Camden, NC; and her brother Robert C. "R. C.". She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, 544 Church Street, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
