He was predeceased by: his parents, George Byrd and Eva Robinson Byrd; his wife Helen Louise Wills Byrd; and his daughter Stephanie Ann Byrd Edwards. He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Waddy of Clifton Forge and Jean Megginson of Clifton Forge; and his grandchildren, Salisha Smith, Trentie Meekins, Tretin Meekins, Moses Hunter III, Christie Hunter, Keith Hunter and Chase Woodard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
