He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Arthur Dowd, Sr. and Beulah Lee Nicely Dowd; and his niece Erica Lynne Bartsch. He is survived by: his siblings, Lynda Bartsch (Eric "Rick") of Chester and Edward "Buddy" A. Dowd, Jr. (Leah) of Hamstead, NC; his niece Heather Miller; his nephew Jonathan Dowd (Suzanna); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaitlyn Miller, Jacob Miller, David Miller, Bodhi Dowd and Marly Dowd.
In addition to flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Kayser Memorial Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 314, Iron Gate, VA 24448.
