Robert Scruggs Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Scruggs (Clifton Forge, Virginia), born in Iron Gate, Virginia, who passed away on December 5, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Howell Scruggs, Sr. and Bessie Fairburn Scruggs; his wife Faye Wade Scruggs; and his daughter Sally Wade Scruggs. He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth Scruggs Keyser of Clifton Forge and Mary Ann Scruggs Hayse of Radford; his sisters-in-law, Reva Fairburn (Tom) of Lexington and Anne Lawler of Durham, NC; and also Loren Beverly of Iron Gate. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Central United Methodist Church Men's Bible Class, P.O. Box 16, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
