Though Nancy Carol may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nancy Carol touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Stabene and Nora Deusenberry Stabene; and her grandfather John Deusenberry. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Richard Shahan; her sisters, Mary Ann Cox, Becky Cutino, Lydia Diane Stabene and Gloria Jean Stabene; her son Dr. Tracy Allan Shahan (Yvonne Lynn Harrison); and her granddaughter Margaret Claire Shahan of Roanoke, VA..
