He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carlton and Gloria Lee LaRue Tennant. He is survived by: his siblings, Linda (Mark Weiss) of Warm Springs and James L. "Jimbo" Tennant (Clara) of Millboro; his nieces and nephews, Bobby Tennant, Bryan Tennant, Chris Martin (Dannille), Brandon Via (Cora), April (Ralph Richards), Katy (Logan) and Melissa (Chucky Via); his great-nephews, Bryce and Braxton Martin; his close friends, George, Bonnie Robertson and Benny Riley; and his pet Smoky. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Millboro Fire Department or the Millboro Rescue Squad.
