He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Elizabeth Walker Kern; his children, Johnny Kern, Tracy Kern, Amy Allan and Joel Kern; his stepchildren, Bill Browne, Wade Browne, Mary Browne Parker and Tracy Browne; and his brother Darrell Kern. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
