He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hughes Nicely and Mae Etta Nicely; his former wife Elva Jean Wrenn Nicely; and his siblings, Fremont "Sonny" Nicely and Eula Lee Nicely.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Webb Nicely of Clifton Forge; his children, Stephanie Nicely Bowbeer (David) of Salem and Ernest Brian Nicely (Vicki) of Weatherford, Texas; his siblings, Nadeen Moles of Waynesboro, Josie Denius (Larry) of Clifton Forge and C. J. Nicely (Bonnie) of Fincastle; his grandchildren, Logan Hart, Caleb Bowbeer, Tayler Nicely, Pearle Torres, Allen Torres, Zach Rameriz, Cassandra Mcmannon, Ethan Paradis, Haley Paradis, Adam Bailey, Savannah Bailey and Jake Borst; his close friends, Kay, Jerry Curtis, Matt, Jackie Moore and Susan Wilhelm; and also, Annette Borst of Philadelphia, Sherry Paradis (Rich) of Charlotte, Sylvia Heiner and Mark Borst (Leanne) of San Diego, California. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
